I love Herman Miller. In addition to being an iconic American insitution, they are just pretty damn swanky. While everyone else dreams of sipping cognac in an Eames lounge, I prefer to sip champagne in one of these babies. The Eames Aluminum group sets my heart aflutter. At first glance, it may not look very comfortable. However, once you sit in its minimal form you will understand. It looks like a skeleton next to its lounge-y cousin, but it sits so much nicer. If you get the chance, try it out. You won't be sorry.

Herman Miller retrofits a classic - the Eames Lounge
At work we recently received Herman Miller's new version of the Eames lounge and ottoman. Decades ago, the folks at Herman Miller (HM) decided to change the cushions and pads on the Eames lounge and ottoman. The result was a stiffer, almost over-stuffed cushion thatalways looked as it is was about to pop. Recenlty, HM decided to take the chair back to its roots. They replaced the "new" cushion with one that is much closer to the original. Having had a chance to try both, I have to say they made the right decision. In addition to feeling more like you are sitting in the chair than on it, the new pads allow for the leather to "starburst" more around the buttons. Needless to say I live for the version in ash wood and white leather. I swoon at the thought. Enjoy!

Karim Rashid for Ritzenhoff
While these milk glasses were retired by Ritzenhoff years ago, I still think they are pretty darn cool. Just one of the nice things about unpacking - the things you hadn't seen in years. I think I'll get some milk.

We Bought A Zoo soundtrack
I love Sigur Ros. I love Jonsi. I love the fact that Jonsi, singer of Sigur Ros, was asked to compose the music to this new movie by Cameron Crowe because Crowe himself was so inspired by the band's music. In fact, Crowe immersed the entire cast in music by Sigur Ros because he wanted the movie to have the feel of the band's music. The music is nothing short of glorious and lushly beautiful. There are some great new pieces with some older songs mixed in. I haven't seen the movie yet, but after hearing the new songs, I think I just might. Enjoy!

I am so over the moon for mongolian lambs wool right now that my bedroom is beginning to look like Cousin It's blonder cousin, but I don't care. It is luxurious, chic, cool, romantic, modern, nostalgic.....you get the picture. Throw a couple mongolian lambs wool pillows on your bed, sofa, or chaise to add a little ooh-la-la to your look. If you're like me, mix it with Missoni bedding of contrasting patterns for uber-coolness. *sigh*
B&O BeoSound 8 will help you get your groove back
So at work we are running a promo where customers get a FREE BeoSound 8 ipod and ipad dock with purchases of $5G or more. The dock sells for $995, so it really is a nice gift. Having always had Bose at home, and selling Geneva Lab for the past few years, I didn't think it could really get any better. I was wrong. Aside from being strikingly beautiful, it sounds AMAAAAAZING! The sound is so crisp and clear, with very little distortion, if any. The body comes in white or black and the speaker covers come in an array of vibrant colors. My favorite is the white/orange combo, of course. If you get a chance, try one out. Bang and Olufsen threw it this time. Learn more here: http://www.bang-olufsen.com/beosound8-colours
